The accident rendered him hospitalized and in a wheelchair for several months. For many, it could have been the end of their careers. But Victony later tells us that although his life had changed, he had every intention of building back upHow does it feel to be back? “I’ve been creating and I’ve got madness coming for you guys” he says as he reveals some exclusive information in this interview.

Looks like prayers and hard work paid off, seeing as the 2020 breakthrough hit feature with Mayorkun brought Vic officially into the limelight, with his unique and fresh sound stealing the hearts of Nigerians in no time. Traveling has become one of his favourite activities since it gave him access to studios in different cities. Experiencing new people, food, culture and music has made him better at creating. The music industry can be a difficult place to make a career. It may be a difficult and competitive atmosphere, and it is easy for an artist to grow frustrated or lose inspiration. A career in music necessitates a certain amount of bravery. It need a certain degree of talent, enthusiasm, motivation, relationships, and resilience.Unquestionably, resilience is a necessary trait for anyone pursuing a music career. It enables musicians to continue pushing forward in the face of obstacles, disappointments, and problems, ultimately assisting them in achieving their goals. True resilience in music isn't so much about having a thick skin or tuning out unhelpful remarks regarding one's work. Instead, it's about putting the love of what you do at the forefront of your work.

Did your background in any way launch you into the music industry? Please share with us?Music is very present in the daily life of the people of Cape Verde, we express ourselves through it when we are happy or even in sadder moments such as mourning, there is always music. Therefore, I feel honored to be able to have as a profession something that is so natural to us but at the same time difficult to be because we are such a small country with an equally small market. She discusses the meaning behind the name she chose for the club as well as how it has affected how people view both her and the group.Tracy discusses the difficulties she has had in her career as a female rap artist in this interview, as well as how she overcame them. According to her, a prominent motif throughout her career has been power. Tracy walks us through her early years and explains how she became a rap artist. Although Tracy's mother, whom she referred to as her strongest supporter, was stringent about her academic performance, she also pushed her to take part in extracurricular activities after school. Were there any rappers you admired as a child and looked up to? Who were they?I grew up with a lot of musical influences, Flamenco, Reggaeton, and Hip Hop from the ’90s. I’m a huge fan of Biggie, Lupe Fiasco, and Run DMC, but I would say that I was mostly inspired by female rappers like Queen Lafah, Lil Kim, Salt n Peppa, Lauryn Hill, MC Lyte, Eve, and of course Nicki Minaj. They were the figure of power and confidence that I needed growing up. What is your favorite time of the day to create art?I mostly capture my subjects outdoors, on a sunny afternoon depending on lighting, mood, and inspiration. I do engage with ideas at night in solace and get to work on the final process at night sometimes. 5 In my recent series. I emphasise the adornment of the crown and I was inspired by the crown of the Ooni of Ife. Ade-Aare is the crown worn by the Ooni of Ife, the direct descendant of and the holder of the royal stool of Oduduwa, the progenitor of the Yoruba and the human race. Ade-Aare is a heavily beaded, heavily ornamented crown and by extension equally acclaimed to be very heavy in actual weight. Can you tell us about your journey of discovery and when you became a photographer, creative director, and hairstylist all in one?My journey as a creative began at an early age. From choreographing the pep rally in elementary school to directing the fashion shows in high school, creativity has always been a part of my life in some way, shape, or form. When I decided to go to beauty school, I ultimately signed up to become a makeup artist, but I couldn't get certified in one without the other, so I pushed through. I knew I wanted to work in fashion and beauty, doing campaigns and editorials. During that me, I went through ups and downs finding photographers, models, and sometimes wardrobe stylists who were willing and interested in my vision.   As an artist, i am part of the construction of representative imagery for young Black people, for ADHD, for people from favelas, the poor, and the LGBT+. So, what I want is that people can see me and also feel that it’s possible.

Can you tell us about your background and how you became interested in art?My interest in art comes from my life experiences. From things such as the place where I was raised, where music had an important role, from the social projects I participated in, from my relationship with my family, which used to take pictures every moment; and, from that, comes my first interest in art: photography.
